Striker struggling to make Saturday

Sheffield Wednesday are sweating on the fitness of Marcus Tudgay in the build up to Saturday's clash with Crystal Palace at Hillsborough.

The forward who has eight goals to his name this season and has been in good form of late is doubtful for the game having sustained a knee injury in training.

Deon Burton is likely to fill one place up front but if Tudgay does not make it then there could be a return to the starting 11 for loan man Enoch Showunmi.

Showunmi has failed to score so far for the Owls but did bag a brace for the reserves in midweek. Ben Sahar, on loan from Chelsea, has been sidelined with illness and injury recently and it is not yet clear whether he will be available, Francis Jeffers is injured and Leon Clarke only returned from knee surgery in midweek and is unlikely to be match-fit at this time.
