Sturrock seals Quinn signing

The forward, who has recently being plying his trade for Willem II in Holland, has 34 caps for his country and his signing is quite a coup by The Owls following a successful trial spell.

The former West Brom and Blackpool star did admit he had offers from championship teams, and with a longer contract too but the lure of a promotion charge at Hillsborough was too good to turn down.

With Lee Peacock and Adam Proudlock still sidelined, after the Bournemouth game tomorrow Steve MacLean, Guylain Ndumbu-Nsungu and Andy Talbot will be the only recognised strikers at the club when Kenwyne Jones returns to Southampton on Sunday.

Quinn will wear the number 22 shirt and is available for selection at the Fitness First Stadium.
