Wednesday looking for 3 points against troubled Wanderers

Sheffield Wednesday manager Steve Bruce has picked a surprising strike pairing for tonight's Championship clash at Bolton Wanderers. The Owls boss has chosen to go with a front two of Steven Fletcher and Atdhe Nuhiu as Wednesday to look to take advantage of Bolton's off-field issues.

Wednesday fans will be pleased to see Fletcher in the side given that he hobbled off during Saturday's 1-1 draw at Derby County and it was feared he may be facing a spell on the sidelines.

The Scotland striker will play up top with Atdhe Nuhiu as the Kosovan forward comes in for a rare start. Nuhiu has not had many opportunities of late having been mostly used as a late substitute in recent weeks but he dd produce an encouraging display as a substitute at Derby and with the likes of Lucas Joao, Fernando Forestieri and Gary Hooper currently unavailable the big striker will surely be eager to take this opportunity. Sam Winnall is named among the substitutes as another attacking option for Wednesday who are in need of 3 points to keep their slim hopes of a play-off challenge alive.

Bolton have been hit by well-publicised boardroom issues in the past week or so with bills mounting up as the owner Ken Anderson attempts to finalise a deal to sell the club. It was revealed last week that the players had not been paid their February salaries but to their credit they were able to put the off-field problems to one side at the weekend as they beat Millwall 2-1. The home side are also very much in need of 3 points as they bid to try and get out of the relegation zone going into the final 10 games of the season and they include former Owls defender Mark Beevers in their starting 11.
