Tudgay and Brunt on Wolves - exclusive

Four points from their last two games is a good return although going to play-off chasing Wolves is never an easy feat.

Tudgay told Footymad: “We sat down to watch the video of the Preston game and took the positives out of that, beating Preston was not easy like I said earlier but going to Wolves will be difficult. We have to work from the front to the midfield to stop them creating chances.

“It's about time that we actually took advantage of somebody else's slip up though. We can't keep relying on Millwall to lose week in, week out, we just have to get our wins. But we are happy and we could say that the season starts from now: we have to move up the table to avoid relegation."

Brunt meanwhile knows that the Molineux crowd can sometimes get on the home team's back – resulting in many points dropped in their own back yard.

He said: “Wolves are good at home but they have had lots of draws there this season I think. Under the circumstances, if we go there and pick up a point then that will be classed as a good result but on the back of the Preston victory we are going for all three points.”

No players were brought in yesterday on loan deadline day so Paul Sturrock should name an unchanged squad for the trip to the west midlands.

Tudgay should again continue his partnership with Deon Burton while Steve MacLean is set to start from the bench again.

Steve Adams and JP McGovern will not be able to make the squad even after a behind-closed doors friendly on Tuesday, Sturrock believes that the duo are not yet match fit.

Craig Rocastle has joined Yeovil Town on loan until the end of the season – this is despite appearing for press photographs at Swindon Town where a similar deal broke down just before The Glovers stepped in.
