Turner set for departure

The Scottish stopper has made a fantastic contribution since he arrived two months ago but Toffees boss David Moyes wants the star back for cover.

Current Goodision Park number one Tim Howard is ineligible to play against his old club Manchester United and back up Richard Wright is struggling with an injury so Turner will make return east after Saturday's clash.

Turner has been in inspired form and has been part of a Wednesday side not to lose in ten games, keeping two straight clean sheets in the process.

Brian Laws has stated that he would pursue a season-long loan for the player next season after Turner got a taste of regular first-team football for the first time in years at Hillsborough.

Chris Adamson should be in goal for Wednesday's two remaining games against Birmingham and Norwich as it is unclear what is happening with Mark Crossley's situation - he has not been at the club since Turner's arrival.

Other than that, The Owls have youngster Richard O'Donnell - who was part of the club's USA pre-season tour and has been on the bench on a handful of occasions this season.
