The Owls boss has said that the handful of strikers he wants to sign are all proven goalscorers and would be happy to land any two of them.
The confirmed players who have been linked so far are Blackpool's Scott Taylor, Luton's Steve Howard and Stockport's Luke Beckett.
There has been interest in other hitmen too, like Norwich veteran Iwan Roberts for example although nothing concrete.
No signings will be made though for at least another week as Turner takes a break.
With Colin Hendry becoming the new Blackpool boss, he could try to persuade Taylor to stay although the striker's agent claims the former Tranmere marksman wants a fresh start somewhere new.
Winchester hotshot Andy Forbes has been ruled out of the equation by Turner as he is not proven at this level yet, and is set for a move to Exeter City.
