Sheffield Wednesday have confirmed that their first signing of the forthcoming January transfer window will be Callum McManaman.

The West Bromwich Albion winger, who had been a transfer target for Wednesday in the summer, will join the Owls as soon as the transfer window opens and will be available for selection when Wednesday face Wolves at Hillsborough on January 2nd.

Mcmanaman was a youth player at Everton but made his professional mark at Wigan Athletic, with the highlight being a man-of-the-match performance in the 2013 F.A. Cup final.

The 25-year-old moved to West Brom in 2015 for a fee in excess of £4.5M but his Baggies career has been blighted by injuries and he hasn't really had a look in for Tony Pulis' side this season.
