Tigers Vs Owls: Team news & preview

Sheffield Wednesday travel east to Hull City on Tuesday evening as they look to maintain their unbeaten league run under new boss Garry Monk.

The Owls have 2 wins and a draw in the Championship since Monk took charge and recorded an impressive 4-1 win at Middlesbrough on Saturday.

Midfielder Sam Hutchinson was substituted as a precaution with a knock at the weekend and will be assessed with Massimo Luongo in contention to feature should the former Chelsea play not prove his fitness. Tom Lees is nearing a return but is not likely to be rushed back with the Owls in good form while Fernando Forestieri serves the 5th game of a 6-match ban.

Hull could welcome defenders Stephen Kingsley and Matthew Pennington after both missed the weekend draw against Cardiff City. John Toral has missed three matches due to a hamstring injury and is not expected to return for this fixture.

The Tigers are unbeaten in 4 games but have drawn their last 2 at home, including being pegged back for a 2-2 draw by Cardiff in injury time on Saturday.

Wednesday were well beaten, 3-0 at the KCOM Stadium in January and drew 1-1 with the Tigers at Hillsborough last August.
