Sheffield Wednesday produced a fine all round team performance in completing a well earned Sheffield derby double at Bramall Lane on Saturday and three players have had their displays recognised by the league.
The Coca-Cola Championship team of the week as chosen by the press association was announced on the official website of the league today with Mark Beevers, Tommy Spurr and Michael Gray all making the first eleven.
Despite tireless work and scoring a goal worthy of winning any game Marcus Tudgay did not make the first eleven as two strikers that managed to net braces at the weekend, Jason Scotland and ex Sheffield United front-man Rob Hulse edged him out.
The Owls will be looking to build on their Bramall Lane victory with the next two fixtures also against South Yorkshire opposition. They travel to Doncaster on Saturday and host Barnsley the following Tuesday.
