Peacock-Farrell joins Owls

Sheffield Wednesday have today strengthened their goalkeeping options by securing the services of Bailey Peacock-Farrell. The Burnley custodian moves to Hillsborough on a season-long loan.

Peacock-Farrell began his career as a youth player at Middlesbrough but he made his first team breakthrough at Leeds United where he started the 2018-19 season as number one for the West Yorkshire side under new manager Marcelo Bielsa as they went on to reach the Championship play-offs.

In the summer of 2019 Peacock-Farrell signed for Premier League Burnley and he made his league debut for the Lancashire side last season.

At 24 years of age the goalkeeper has a promising career ahead of him and he is already establishing himself at international level for Northern Ireland. It is something of a surprise to see him drop down to the 3rd division but outlines the Owls intention to attract high quality players in a bid to achieve promotion back to the Championship at the first attempt.
