Midfielder completes loan move

Sheffield Wednesday have added Middlesbrough midfielder Lewis Wing to the squad for the 2021-22 campaign on a season-long loan contract.

The 26-year-old is seen as a creative central midfielder but can fulfil a variety of roles across the midfield and his ability and composure on the ball will surely be an asset for the team next season.

Wing, originally from Durham, signed from Middlesbrough in 2017 having stood out for Shildon FC in the Northern League and has made nearly 100 first team competitive appearances for ‘Boro to date.

He has also enjoyed loan spells at Yeovil and more recently at Rotherham United, where he played 20 times in the Championship in the second half of last season and went close to helping the Millers to survival.
