Sheffield Wednesday as expected, have not added to their squad on loan transfer deadline day but the Owls have allowed two players to go out on loan.

Striker Gary Madine has joined his former club Carlisle on loan until the end of the current season. Having recently been released from prison Madine is in need of first team football and a spell in familiar surroundings should serve him well.

Midfielder David Prutton has also made a loan move to League One, joining Coventry City for the remainder of the season. The former Southampton player has recently spent a prolonged spell on the sidelines due to injury and as a result he has fallen down the pecking order in terms of first team opportunities at Hillsborough.

Both players could make debuts for their new club in this weekends fixtures.
