A must win game for both sides

Sheffield Wednesday travel to London on Saturday knowing that a win will keep them in contention for an automatic promotion place going into the final game of the League One season. Anything less than 3 points from the Owls will take the pressure off rivals Sheffield United going into their tea time clash at home to Stevenage.

Brentford are also desperate for a win that will keep alive their hopes of clinching the final play-off spot – they are currently 5 points behind 6th-placed Stevenage so anything less than a victory will put an end to their chances.

Wednesday are likely to be without injured full-backs Reda Johnson and Julian Bennett. With this in mind Mark Beevers is likely to continue at left-back and few if any changes are expected to the side that beat Carlisle last weekend. Michail Antonio, scorer of the injury time winner last time out picked up a knock but is expected to be passed fit.

Brentford’s first-choice goalkeeper Richard Lee has a shoulder injury and so youngster Simon Moore should continue to deputise. The Bee’s will be forced to make at least one change to the side that lost at Stevenage last weekend as on-loan striker Clinton Morrison is ineligible to play against his parent club.

Wednesday are unbeaten since Dave Jones took charge at the beginning of March, winning 8 of their last 10 matches and they have won 3 of their last 4 away games.

Brentford have only lost 1 of their last 8 games but they have drawn 2 and lost 1 of their last 3. They have won 3 of their last 4 home matches and have not conceded a goal at Griffin Park in this spell.

Brentford became the first of only a small number of teams to prevent Wednesday from winning at Hillsborough this season when they held the Owls to a 0-0 draw back in November.
