Award expected for Sturrock

The Owls boss has seen his new team win all three league games with their only blip coming in the FA Cup when they were heavily defeated by Swindon.

Comfortable wins against Stockport as well as promotion contenders Hartlepool and Bristol City have given Wednesday nine points out of a possible nine from November.

The club have notched nine goals in three games, only conceding once - at Bristol City at the weekend.

The honour will not be a new experience for Sturrock who won it on more than one occasion with Plymouth.

Wednesday will be looking to win four on the trot against Hull next week but usually the manager of the month award is cursed and the club do not win the following game!

Meanwhile Jon Shaw has signed a deal with Burton Albion for the rest of the season after a move to Cheltenham collapsed.
