Big Bannan decision for Owls boss Moore this weekend

Will skipper return to the side

Sheffield Wednesday manager Darren Moore has a tricky decision ahead of him this weekend as he must decide whether or not to keep a winning side or welcome club captain Barry Bannan back into the first eleven.

Bannan is regarded by many as the Owls best player and his influence on the team is undoubted, though some have recently questioned whether the team become too reliant on him when he plays. The Scottish midfielder picked up an injury in the draw at Ipswich Town last weekend and was an unused substitute as Wednesday beat league leaders Wigan Athletic on Tuesday evening.

Having previously gone four league games without a win, a victory away to the divisions in-form team will have come as a huge boost for the team. Wednesday were far from convincing in the first half on Tuesday but played well in the second half and deserved the three points.

Moore chose to go with Hutchinson, Adeniran and Wing in midfield. It would be a big call to leave Bannan out against Oxford at Hillsborough this weekend but by the same token, if he was to change a winning side then questions would be raised if the Owls were to fail to get a positive result on Saturday.
