The former Scunthorpe and Rangers player misses a couple of chances in the 3-1 defeat to The Bantams but believes that Wednesday are the better side of the two and their first-half performance underlined that.

The striker told Footymad: “It was a great first half for us although we didn’t take our chances, I to be fair I will hold my hands up for some of those but it was one of those odd days when they did take their chances and we simply didn’t.

“But we can come out with a lot of positives because I believe that we are the better side than
Bradford and if we can recapture our first-half performance more, we will be up there come promotion time but it is very disappointing playing as well as we did to lose 3-1.”

Wednesday’s defence was under pressure from the
Bradford attack in the second half and the Scot says the team will analyse the game before Swindon on Wednesday and Chesterfield on Saturday.

He added: “In the heat of the game I couldn’t really tell you about what happened with the defending so we will have to sit down and watch it but we were stretched at some points and if we scored first I think we could have run up a big score but now the focus will be on Swindon on Wednesday now.”
