The Danish defender, a revelation at Hillsborough so far, has been an important factor to the club's recent revival although modestly passes the praise to other teammates.

But the player on loan from Manchester City is happy with the way the team are defending as a whole and is confident about having the Liverpool stopper as the last line of defence.

He told Footymad: "Scott hasn't had to do much yet but you can see that he is so assured and it is good for the defenders to know that he is behind us. He has lots of experience for his age and he brings a lot to the table, he is always shouting the right things at us and I am happy to have him as a teammate at the moment.

"We got a clean sheet at the weekend but we are defending so well from the front and Marcus and Deon played brilliantly. We were slacking in the beginning of the game with our organisation at the back and they were tactically finding us out a little bit but after that we played really well, especially in the second half and we were the better team."

Bischoff plays against his former club Wolverhampton Wanderers this weekend and is looking forward to what happens there, and later on in during his spell at Hillsborough.

He added: "It will be interesting to see what sort of reception I get with Wolves being one of my old clubs but I do want to go back there and get a win – we need a win down there to keep our recent good role going so a few more good results here and there and the club should survive.

"I don't know what will happen to me after the initial month, it's out of my hands but we will see. I just want to play as best as I can for the club and then hopefully see what happens after that."
