Bolder strengthens Owls squad

Sheffield Wednesday have moved to strengthen their options in midfield by signing 27-year-old QPR player Adam Bolder.

The former Derby County man joins on a month's loan with a view to extending the deal if the initial period is successful and will be in the Owls squad for tomorrow's trip to Bristol City.

It is hoped that Bolder will add some energy and fresh legs to the Owls central midfield as due to the recent sale of Glenn Whelan, Wednesday currently have to players over the age of 30 occupying the two positions.

It is also hoped that he will provide a goal threat that the club has lacked from the middle of the park although he will be looking to improve on his career record of 13 strikes in 245 games.
