New manager makes Iorfa 1st signing with more to follow

Sheffield Wednesday held a press conference to formally present Steve Bruce as manager on Thursday and the new boss has moved quickly to add to his squad on transfer deadline day.

The first new player to join Bruce at the club is Wolves defender Dominic Iorfa, who has signed for the Owls for an undisclosed fee with the length on the contract yet to be confirmed.

The 23-year-old made his breakthrough for Wolves in the 2014-15 season and quickly became a regular in the side at right-back. Iorfa lost his place in the side when Wolves started to invest heavily in their successful pursuit of promotion to the Premier League and spent last season out on loan at Ipswich Town. He made 23 appearances for the Portman Road club and helped them towards a respectable 12-place finish in the Championship.

The former England under-21 international could make his Wednesday debut on Saturday against the club he played for last season.
