The winger is part of Lawrie Sanchez's squad who have gone through some tough times recently but have picked up creditable draws in their last two games.

Following their 3-0 World Cup qualifying group 6 home defeat to Poland, Northern Ireland have drawn with Wales and Azerbaijan although they still have to face England.

Brunt was an unused substitute in Baku on Saturday but will be hoping he can be given some sort of chance against Austria tonight at Windsor Park.

Paul Sturrock will be pleased to know that Glenn Whelan and Patrick Collins will both be available for the clash with Barnsley after coming through their international games unscathed.

Whelan led his team out against France but Ireland U-21 lost 1-0 while Collins came off the bench in England's U-20 game with Holland.
