Bullen set for reserves outing

Lee Bullen is set to play against Rotherham's second string on Tuesday night - his first appearance of the season.

The captain has been suffering from a hamstring problem and could play - even in a new midfield role - as Sturrock tries out new ideas before next Saturday's clash at Leicester.

Maurice Ross is set to play some part after completing his signing yesterday and will be challenging Frankie Simek for a first-team spot at the Walker's Stadium.

But it has been reported that Sturrock will play as many first-team players as possible to keep them all match fit after the two-week long international break and to play around with some new tactics.

Chris Brunt will be hopeful of playing some part when Northern Ireland play Azerbaijan this weekend.

The Owls are still awaiting news on Drissa Diallo's injury which he picked up at QPR last Friday.
