Bully glad to be back - exclusive

The Scottish defender has been laid low with an Achilles injury and came off the bench at Leicester on Saturday but could not stop Wednesday losing.

But he is glad to be back and now it is just a matter of getting his place back in the side.

He told Footymad: "It was good for me to come on for about 25 minutes and obviously I was delighted with that looking back if I sat on the bench all game and we came out with three points, I would have been happier with that. But it's another step on the road to recovery so to speak, I had 10 minutes in attack and 10 minutes at the back but to be honest I think the game passed me by a little bit for a bit so it was very difficult to come on and try to change the game - but all in all it's really nice to be back.

"You can only play games to get yourself fully fit, I'm obviously not match fit at the moment but if the manager thinks I'm ready to start the game then I'm ready but there's a few difficult decisions to be made because John Hills is set to come back, Graeme Lee is set to come back but at the end of the day, hopefully I am ready when called upon."

Wednesday are in desperate need of a win sooner rather than later and for the supporters, it would be brilliant to get it against arch rivals Leeds.

Bullen adds: "Leeds is a massive game, especially when you think of the pressure we are under at the moment to try and get our first win. It should be an excellent atmosphere but it doesn't matter who we are playing at the moment because every game adds on more and more pressure until we get that first victory."
