Can Owls pop Cherries bubble?

Sheffield Wednesday make the long trip to league leaders Bournemouth on Saturday as they aim to maintain their position in te top half of the Championship table which would throw a spanner in the works of the home sides' bid for automatic promotion.

Wednesday continue to be without numerous injured players including defenders Glenn Loovens, Liam Palmer, Joe Mattock and Claude Dielna. Defensive midfielder Jose Semedo and on-loan Manchester United striker Will Keane are also still on the sidelines.

Having defeated play-off chasing Brentford at Hillsborough on Tuesday evening Stuart Gray is unlikely to make too many changes but with Chris Maguire and Sergiu Bus having looked lively having appeared from the bench they will be hoping to push for a start. Atdhe Nuhiu offers a further option up front should Gray opt for fresh legs.

Bournemouth are set to field a similar side to the one that won 1-0 at Reading last time out which maintained their position at the top of the Championship table. South African striker Tokelo Rantie could return to the squad.

Wednesday have suffered only one defeat in their last 5 games but are in poor form on the road having lost 2 of their last 3 away matches.

Bournemouth are undefeated in their last 10 matches and they have won 7 of these. They have won their last 4 home games and haven't lost on home soil since early January.

Edddie Howe's side beat the Owls 2-0 at Hillsborough in November but the Owls enjoyed a 4-2 victory on their last visit to Bournemouth this time last year, though that was their only away win in 5 attempts against the Cherries.
