Can Owls see off Canaries to ease play-off pressure

Sheffield Wednesday face Norwich City at Hillsborough on Saturday with the visitors looking to close the gap on the Owls who currently occupy the final play-off place.

Wednesday will continue to be without centre-back Tom Lees who has been out for over a month but former Norwich striker Gary Hooper could make a long awaited return from injury. Carlos Carvalhal must choose whether to opt to continue pairing Jordan Rhodes with Fernando Forestieri up front or consider moving Forestieri out wide, where he has seemed more productive, and bring in another striker to partner Rhodes, such as Winnall or Fletcher.

Norwich make the trip to South Yorkshire without striker Nelson Oliveira and midfielders Youssouf Mulumbu and Graham Dorrans, though all three have have stepped up their training regimes and could return to action soon. Former Everton attacker Steven Naismith is likely to feature having made a positive return from injury last week.

Wednesday recently won 4 games in succession but have suffered a dip in form that has seen them lose their last 2.

Norwich have only lost 1 of their last 8 games but have not won in their last 3 matches.

The two sides played out a 0-0 draw at Carrow Road back in August. Norwich took 4 points off the Owls in the 2014-15 season but they haven't won on their last 6 visits to Hillsborough.
