Villa Vs Owls: Team news & preview

Sheffield Wednesday travel to Villa Park on Saturday looking to improve on a disappointing away record that has seen them lost 3 of their 4 league fixtures away from Hillsborough this season, including the 2-1 midweek defeat at Nottingham Forest.

Jos Luhukay made 4 changes for the match on Wednesday and is likely to change his team around again.
Centre-back Jordan Thorniley has picked up a minor injury that is likely to see him miss the game so on-loan Chelsea defender Michael Hector could come in for his first Owls start. Full-backs Liam Palmer and Matt Penney were rested in midweek and could both return and Joey Pelupessy is likely to come back in to add some stability to the midfield.
Steven Fletcher will be hopeful of a starting place having come off the bench to score at Forest but Fernando Forestieri will serve the final game of his 3-match ban.

Villa manager Steve Bruce has no new injury concerns. Striker Scott Hogan is unlikely to be match-fit enough to return to the side but the home side hardly have  shortage of options in attack with Tammy Abraham and Jonothan Kodjia likely to be supported by Yannick Bolasie and Jack Grealish.

Aston Villa are unbeaten at home this season and their only league defeat so far came at the hands of Sheffield United. They have however drawn half of their 8 league matches. Wednesday were unbeaten in 4 games prior to the loss at Forest on Wednesday but they have only taken 3 points from 4 away matches.

The Owls enjoyed a 2-1 win at Villa Park last season but were beaten 4-2 at Hillsborough in the last match between the two sides.
