Ex-Owls set to clash in cup final

Two former Sheffield Wednesday defenders are set to meet in the Scottish F.A. Cup Final next month.

On Saturday Madjid Bougherra helped Glasgow giants Rangers secure their place in the showpiece as they beat St Mirren 3-0.

The Algerian was a popular figure at Hillsborough in his short stint at the club but upset supporters when he turned his back on the club for a short and unsuccessful crack at the Premier League with Charlton.

Former Wednesday Captain Lee Bullen was an unused substitute as his Falkirk side overcame Dunfermline 2-0 on Sunday to set up a clash with Rangers.

Bullen has made over 30 appearances for the Bairns this season, who are struggling at the foot of the SPL.

Bullen's time with the Owls is best remembered for him leading the team to play-off final victory in Cardiff in 2005. He returned to Scotland at the end of last season and by being involved in Falkirk's run to the final he has helped the club secure European Football for the first time in their history so congratulations to him for that.
