Gilbert back for Burnley

Gilbert has been on loan at Doncaster Rovers to gain match fitness following nine months on the sidelines with a knee problem but that agreement has been terminated and the former Leicester City man has returned to Hillsborough.

The left-back played five games in his month spell at Rovers and returns to Sheffield fit, and ready for action at Turf Moor and it is expected that Gilbert will play at Burnley with Tommy Spurr moving to his preferred central position.

Other good news for Wednesday is that they have been given an extra allocation of tickets for the clash.

The recent storms damaged the away stand at Turf Moor but now structural repairs have taken place and the club have sent Wednesday more tickets in addition to the 2000-plus they sold out last week.
