Young Sheffield Wednesday striker George Hirst was on the scoresheet again on Sunday as England under 20’s progressed to the semi-finals of the Toulon Tournament.
Having bagged a hat-trick in the previous game against Cuba, Hirst kept his place in the starting 11 to face Japan and opened the scoring from the penalty spot midway through the first half. The 3 lions went on to win the game 2-1 and will now contest the semi-finals on Thursday with their opponents yet to be confirmed.
