Hitman contract boost

Robins, signed from ToyTown United for a nominal fee, has scored seven goals since his arrival from Millmoor.

He is the only player who is a distinct threat in front of goal for Wednesday, and with all respect to Adam Proudlock, Robins is by far the most clinical finisher at the club.

Turner has been mightily impressed by how the former Manchester United, Leicester and Norwich striker has overcome his injury problems to force him way back to full fitness.

Many of the first-team squad could be off at the end of the current campaign because their contracts are coming to an end, but Turner has made it clear that Robins will be one of the players he will open talks with.

And despite him being closer to 40 than 20, he is a lethal finisher at second division level and Wednesday supporters will be hoping he will be offered a new deal to fire The Owls to promotion next season.
