Johnson signs on for QPR

Johnson, who signed from Derby in October on an initial month's loan, will stay at Hillsborough until just before Christmas with a view to a permanent move in January.

The former Birmingham City man has been outstanding for Wednesday since his move from Pride Park and has already stated his desires to extend his move to a permanent deal.

Whelan meanwhile was hurt during his debut for Ireland 'B' on Tuesday night against Scotland and his hip may be a problem for the trip to West London.

Laws is not set to make many changes to the team that thrashed Southampton last time out although he will be keeping his fingers crossed that Whelan can over come his injury to play.

Jermaine Johnson suffered no knocks whilst playing for Jamaica in the week while Akpo Sodje will remain upfront after his best performance of the season two Saturdays ago.

On a personal note from myself, it is with great regret that I will not be doing the Footymad site anymore - I have got a job down in London and I have to fully concentrate on that for the time being.

I would wish to thank all the website contributors, fans on the message board, Les at Footymad, the numerous editors who have helped me out over the past four years and of course the Wednesday players who were good enough to give me their time to be interviewed on countless occasions - Lee Peacock, Lee Bullen, Frank Simek, David Lucas, Patrick Collins, Nicky Weaver, Chris Brunt, Glenn Whelan, Graham Coughlan, Steve MacLean, Marcus Tudgay, Deon Burton, Graeme Lee, Richard Wood, Burton O'Brien and Paul Heckingbottom who were always exceptional with me over the years and I wish them all the best.

Best of luck to Chris who will be taking over the duties very soon.

UP THE OWLS!!!
