Laws happy with Burnley point

Deon Burton's header gave Wednesday a deserved point after Wade Elliott had opened the scoring for the home side.

But despite Laws been happy with the performance, he thought that The Owls should have come out of the game with all three points.

He said: "I'm disappointed we didn't take all three points. Overall, I thought we created more, and we caused them problems from the start.

"If you look at the goalkeepers you see theirs was the busier of the two, so with a bit of luck we might have had all three points.

"After the run we've been on this result can kick-start us. We needed to stop the rot and in terms of results we've done that."

Meanwhile, Wednesday have been linked yet again to Wigan goalkeeper Mike Pollitt after newspapers this morning reported that Laws wants the former Rotherham star to be the club's number one next season.
