Sheffield Wednesday have today confirmed that striker Gary Madine is to return to the club and be reintegrated into first team affairs.
The former Carlisle forward was released from prison last week having served a sentence after being found guilty last October of 2 separate assaalts in Sheffield bars in 2012.
Madine, who top scored for the Owls as they achieved promotion from League One in 2011/12, has expressed his regret and apologised for his actions and thanked Sheffield Wednesday and those who have stuck by him.
The striker is set to return to first team training this week.
