Speaking exclusively to Footymad, the new Owls skipper does not know what some of the players Chris Turner is bringing in are like, but believes that the summer tour of Ibiza will be a good bonding experience.

He said: “To be truthful I don’t know that much about the players here. I know their names, if you follow football you always have your eyes on players and who plays where but what some of the new boys can do individually is yet to be seen.

“I know Guy Branston, anyone would though, he is a big bloke, and I have been informed by the manager about the quality of players coming in.

“It is vitally important though that we look forward to a good pre-season campaign in
Ibiza where we are to play football and train – not to party unfortunately. It is vital that we get that time as a team together so we can build up a massive team sprit – that’s the key.

“When things are going bad for you, your teammates will pull your through so you have to hope we gel very quickly and it will be a good bonding exercise.”
