Marsden set for home bow

Wednesday's new boys have impressed so for and The Owls boss is set to bring in Chris Marsden for his home debut and Guy Branston against Wanderers.

Marsden missed the Blues game because of a slight knock and Branston has not played in major pre-season matches since coming back from Ibiza.

But Lee, who was captain for the night on Wednesday, went off at half time because of a knock and is expected to be rested as a precautionary measure.

Paul Heckingbottom was made skipper for the second half but he was lucky to avoid injury following a reckless challenge from David Dunn - who will now miss Birmingham's first few games of the season.

Lee's absence will give another Patrick Collins another chance to shine following his impressive performances so far since arriving from the north east.

Bolton will most likely not play their new defender Fernando Hierro - the Spanish veteran who is only second behind Raul in goals scored for the national team, after signing him on a one-year deal.

The Trotters are playing Internazionale on Sunday and want their best players for that game so supporters at Hillsborough can expect an under-strength team coming over the Pennines.

Please note, the Bolton game will kick off at 2pm and not the usual time of 3pm.
