Monk staying at St Mary's

Monk returned to Southampton after a successful three month loan spell with Wednesday finished last weekend and it was believed Turner was in talks to sign him on a permanent basis.

However, Turner has told the club's official website: "I feel we have enough centre-backs in the club and have to utilise the finances we have in other areas."
