More hitmen linked

Wednesday are absolutely desperate for a striker and have not scored for five games, a worrying statistic indeed.

And with Kilmarnock’s Kris Boyd looking more and more likely to move to Rangers by the day, Paul Sturrock must quickly find other targets to cure the club’s goalscoring lull.

Burton
started the season on fire for Rotherham but he looks very much a confidence player – Owls fans will remember him tearing the team apart in the league last season for Brentford by scoring three goals but in the play-offs, he seemed to vanish without trace.

The former Portsmouth star has scored 13 goals this season and his pace could help The Owls out.

Tudgay meanwhile has been linked with Wednesday before – he has only hit the net twice this season, once at Hillsborough ironically enough although it is doubtful whether he will be the prolific man Sturrock is chasing.
