Sheffield Wednesday has today announced on its official website, www.swfc.co.uk that reduced match-day prices for specific groups within the community are to be further incentivised.

Last month the club made tickets available to the unemployed in the North West corner of their Hillsborough ground at a reduced rate of just £10 per game. Now, having reflected on the uptake of this to date, the decision has been taken to further reduce these ticket prices to just £5 per match. These tickets will be on offer for as many home games as possible for the remainder of the season, largely dependant on crowd segregation based upon the amount of away supporters in attendance.

The same offer is also set to be made available to students in possession of a valid NUS card from the Saturday’s game against Coventry City onwards.

Earlier in the week the club announced that with two home games coming up in the space of four days, season ticket holders would be able to purchase a ticket for a friend for the second of these games, against Preston North End on Tuesday 20th October for just £5. The ‘bring a friend for a fiver’ tickets are available in all home areas of the stadium.
