Ndumbu flys Owls nest

New North End boss Billy Davies has wasted no time at all by bringing in the Congolese forward to Deepdale and he will go into the squad to face Paul Sturrock’s former club Plymouth Argyle.

With the rejuvenated Adam Proudlock hitting the target as well as Steve MacLean getting back into the swing of scoring at the weekend, last season’s player of the year seems to have become surplus to requirements.

Sturrock still has Lee Peacock to return to fitness while Jon Shaw has played well when called upon this campaign.

Ndumbu-Nsungu has been a favourite amongst Wednesdayites and has been likened to a certain Dutchman who once had all the talent in the world but was blighted by inconsistency – Gerald Sibon of course.
