Sheffield Wednesday have been dealt a blow as they prepare for the run in to the end of the season with the news that Michael Gray will not play again this campaign.

Gray has made a positive impact playing in a wide midfield role since joining the club in the January transfer windows but the Owls must now do without his services for the final 6 games of the season.

The wide man has not played since sustaining a shoulder injury against Watford on March 14th and after test revealed a muscle tear an operation to fix this has ruled him out for a period of around three months.

Gray has appeared 13 times for the Owls this season, having signed a permanent deal to the end of the current campaign after a successful initial one-month loan from Wolves.

His future is uncertain as he is out of contract in the summer but such is the positive impression he has made during his short spell at Hillsborough an offer of a new deal may well be made.
