Lower league test awaits Wednesday
The draw for the 3rd round of the F.A. Cup took place on Monday evening and Sheffield Wednesday will travel to either Gillingham or Carlisle.
With just 4 balls remaining in the hat there was a chance that the Owls would draw Chelsea but the Premier League title holders will instead travel to Carrow Road to face Norwich and the Owls were the last team to be drawn.
Gillingham and Carlisle will play their replay on 12th December having drawn 1-1 this weekend and the winners will play host to Wednesday during the first weekend in 2018.
The Owls were knocked out at Middlesbrough in the 3rd round last season and have recent experience of defeat at lower league opposition in the competition as they were beaten at Shrewsbury in the 4th round in 2016.
