Owls get ticket boost

Nearly 3000 fans were queuing at Hillsborough this morning - and that's before the gates actually opened for the first day of general sales without the need for a season ticket, OAC card, ticket stub or any other means of getting priority.

The 33,500 initial allocation should all be sold by close of play this evening so the extra tickets will come in handy although fans are still being asked to act quickly to avoid disappointment.

Mainly £26 tickets are left although with the new batch coming in this afternoon, may have more tickets in the more popular pricy seats at £34, £42 and £50.
