Owls linked to Chelsea youngster
Some media sources, including skysports.com have today revealed that Sheffield Wednesday could be interested in signing Chelsea youngster Jimmy Smith on loan.
Smith is an attacking midfielder who had a spell on loan at Norwich during the 1st half of last season although his appearance were limited by an injury that saw him sidelined for over two months.
The 21-year-old had previously impressed during a loan spell at Queens Park Rangers during the 2006/07 season. 'Rangers initially took him on for just one month but his performances encouraged them to extend this for the remainder of the season and he played 29 games, scoring 6 goals in the process.
Wednesday have also recently been rumoured to be eyeing up another Chelsea youngster, the more defensive minded Jack Cork, who spent last season on loan at Scunthorpe United.
