Wednesday Vs Ipswich: Team news & preview

Having beaten Millwall 2-1 at home on Wednesday evening Sheffield Wednesday will be looking to pick up their second league win of the season on Saturday when Ipswich Town come to S6.

Jos Luhukay opted to go with 4 at the back last time out and until Millwall applied some late pressure it was the most assured the Owls have looked defensively this season so he may choose to stick with the same shape.
In attack Fernando Forestieri was used sparingly as a substitute due to not being 100% fit but may be able to play more of a part in this game. Joost Van Aken remains unavailable due to an ankle injury while Daniel Pudil and Lucas Joao will have their fitness assessed ahead of the game.

Ipswich have doubts over midfield pair Cole Skuse and Jon Nolan due to thigh and ankle injuries respectively. On-loan Fulham player Tayo Edun is likely to return to the squad having served a 1-match ban in midweek following his dismissal against Aston Villa last weekend.

The Owls now have 4 points from 4 games, with all 4 points coming from their 2 home games. Ipswich have just 2 points so far and have lost both of their away matches.
The visitors will however take some heart from their recent record against the Owls, especially at Hillsborough. Ipswich have only lost 2 of the last 18 meetings between the teams and haven't lost at S6 since 2007.
