Sheffield Wednesday host Blackburn Rovers at Hillsborough on Tuesday as they aim to maintain their place in the Championship play-off positions with just 7 games of the season remaining.

Wednesday will be without Barry Bannan once more as he serves the final game of his 3-match ban following his red-card against Nottingham Forest.

The likes of Atdhe Nuhiu and Lucas Joao will be hoping to come into contention for a starting place after having a positive impact as substitutes in Saturdays win at Huddersfield.

Blackburn have mixed suspension news with centre-back Grant Hanley set to return from a 1-match ban but Shane Duffy will serve a suspension due to his dismissal in the game against Preston at the weekend.

Striker Tony Watt misses out due to a groin injury former Sheffield United midfielder Lee Williamson is also sidelined as is Danny Guthrie.

Wednesday come into the game having put a 5-match winless run behind them by recording 3 victories in succession.

Blackburn have been inconsistent of late having won 4 and lost 4 in their last 8. They have not drawn any of their last 12 matches.

The two teams played out a 2-2 draw when they met at Ewood Park in November, Rovers won on their last visit to Hillsborough last season and have only lost 1 of their last 5 matches at the home of the Owls.
