Owls need to maintain home form after away defeat

Sheffield Wednesday face Nottingham Forest at Hillsborough on Saturday as they look to bounce back from the last gasp defeat at Birmingham City last weekend.

Owls left-back Daniel Pudil faces a late fitness test having missed last weekends game. If he is not passed fit then Adam Reach is likely to continue to deputise in that position. Sam Hutchinson is available after a 1-match ban and may come in for Glenn Loovens who made his first appearance of the season at St. Andrews.

Gary Hooper will be hoping for a recall to the starting eleven after scoring as a substitute last time out.

Forest travel to Hillsborough without influential striker Brit Assombalonga as the former Peterborough forward continues to be troubled by a calf strain. Defender Damien Perquis and Midfielder Thomas Lam also miss out.

Wednesday lost last time out but have won their last 2 on home soil. Forest lost heavily to Arsenal in the League Cup in midweek and were beaten at home by Norwich City last weekend. Like their hosts, they are yet to win an away league game this season though they have won twice on their travels in the cup.

Both sides are just outside the top half in the Championship with 11 points from 8 matches.

The Owls enjoyed home and away wins against Forest last season but prior to that Forest had won on their previous 3 visits to Hillsborough, all 1-0.
