Owls release 2nd phase of season ticket prices

Sheffield Wednesday have released their 2nd phase of season ticket prices for the 2012/13 season.

The club initially started selling the tickets for next season early on in the year with a deadline for the best price reductions set for early March. At that stage it seemed unlikely that the club would manage to gain automatic promotion but despite this to their credit close to 10,000 fans snapped up their seats for the next campaign.

The club stated at this time that prices would increase with the size of the rise dependent on which division the club would be competing in. Now that Championship football has been confirmed the new range of prices has been released and although there have been increases there is still good value to be had.

An adult Kop season ticket will cost £365, rising to £412 from June 16th. North Stand/Grandstand tickets are now £455 rising to £500 after the deadline and it is £520 on the South Stand rising to £573.

Take for example the North Stand price. The £455 equates to less than £20 per game. When you compare this with the cost of match by match tickets for the same stand this past season in League One - £24/£26 then a saving of £4/£6 per match on this basis is good value. This will be even more the case when you take into consideration that match day prices are likely to increase compared to what they were last season.

Finance deals are also available and so for anyone who is planning to get to the majority of matches at Hillsborough during 2012/13 then a season ticket is the best way to go.

In addition to this all full paying adult season ticket holders are entitled to a free Under 8’s season ticket encouraging the future generations of Owls supporters.
