Home draw for Wednesday
Sheffield Wednesday will face Bury FC in the first round of the Carabao Cup following the draw on Thursday evening.
The Owls will play The Shakers at Hillsborough during the week commencing 10th August. Bury won promotion from League Two last season under the guidance of Bury legend & former Wednesday striker Ryan Lowe but the club have serious financial issues to resolve and Lowe resigned as manager earlier this month.
Wednesday last faced Bury in their 2011/12 League One promotion season when they beat the Shakers 4-1 at Hillsborough but lost 2-1 at Gigg Lane.
