Owls Vs Charlton team news

Sheffield Wednesday go into tonight's fixture against the promotion-chasing Addicks desperate for a positive result after last weekends defeat at Bristol City saw the team plunge into the Championship relegation zone.

Recent loan signing Adam Bolder is in line to make his home debut while Enoch Showunmi should return to the squad having sat out the defeat at Ashton Gate under the terms of his loan agreement.

Tommy Spurr and Jermaine Johnson also missed the game at Bristol through suspension and compassionate leave respectively and the pair are expected to return to Brian Laws starting line up tonight.

There may be a further change in the back four with Richard Wood pushing for a place in the starting eleven. Laws has been critical of individual mistakes made by the Owls that have cost goals of late and a defensive shake up may well take place as the manager looks to rectify this.

Charlton come to Hillsborough on the back of a solid 2-0 win over Crystal Palace but with no wins in their last six away games. Wednesday will be hoping that there is no repeat of the last game at Hillsborough when Ipswich plundered their first away win of the season at the Owls expense.

The London side have no fresh injury concerns and may start with Madjid Bougherra at centre-back. The defender could well be in for a hostile reception having left Hillsborough last January on rather acrimonious terms.
