Sheffield Wednesday host Ipswich Town on Saturday with bot sides still in contention to make the play-offs though anything less than a win for the visitors would all but end their promotion hopes.

The Owls will be looking to bounce back from a disappointing defeat at Bristol City last time out and Carlos Carvalhal is expected to make changes. Goalkeeper Keiren Westwood should return from illness, and captain Glenn Loovens along with striker Gary Hooper are both expected to overcome their respective injuries. Ross Wallace and Jack Hunt will also be in line for a return to the starting line-up.

Ipswich also come into the match on the back of a heavy and will be missing key players. Top Scorer Daryl Murphy is not expected to overcome a thigh injury in time to feature and midfielder Luke Hyam will miss out as a result of suspension following his dismissal in the home defeat against Brentford last weekend. Former Owls midfielder Giles Coke remains sidelined having undergone knee surgery.

Wednesday's run of 4 successive victories was ended with a 4-1 loss at Bristol City last weekend and the Owls will be hoping that their home form that has seen them lose just 2 of 20 league games at Hillsborough this season will be maintained as they look to put that defeat behind them.

Ipswich's hopes of a top six finish were dealt a major blow with a 3-1 home loss to Brentford last Saturday, extending their winless run to 4 games, during which they have only scored 1 goal.

Wednesday were beaten 2-1 at Portman Road in August and the Tractor boys have not lost on their last 6 visits to S6.
