Quinny offered new deal

Fans favourite Quinn is one of the few remaining players at Hillsborough since the days of the Premiership and has earned Republic of Ireland international recognition due to his form.

Only Steve Haslam and Kevin Pressman are the other first-team regulars who experienced Wednesday’s ill-fated relegation from the top flight four seasons ago.

Quinn has been instrumental this season for The Owls, and he was desperately missed when he went on loan to Sunderland.

The former Cherry Orchard product sees his contract expire at the end of the current campaign and he could walk for nothing in June, but Turner has had words with Quinn saying that he is still wanted at Hillsborough.

The midfielder has never had any intention of leaving Wednesday, despite being linked with other clubs throughout his career but he will make his eagerly- anticipated decision during the close-season.
